Dress Code & Clubhouse Information
Members, guests and visitors are asked to respect this dress code.
At Tenterden Golf Club, we expect all players to dress like you are going to play golf – smart and respectful whilst being comfortable and practical.
Each player must have their own set of golf clubs, as sharing clubs is not permitted and all players should have previous golf course experience.
On the Course
Recognised golf attire is required for all players. This includes;
- Shirts must have a collar (Mock neck and blade collar shirts are allowed)
- Men’s shirts should be recognised golfing attire, with either long or short sleeves and must have a collar
- Ladies’ sleeveless shirts are permitted but must have a collar and may be worn outside shorts etc if so designed.
- Trousers and shorts are to be tailored
- Men’s shorts should be tailored and worn with socks
- Ladies skorts, dresses, skirts and capri pants are permitted and worn with socks
- Golf branded roll neck tops, hoodies and golf joggers are allowed.
- Golf shoes with spikes or dimples are required on the course. Appropriate golf socks should be worn.
The following must NOT be worn on the golf course:
- Sports shirts (such as football shirts, rugby shirts, T shirts) are not permitted
- Shoes that are not golf shoes
- Denim/Jeans
- Cargo pants
- Combat trousers
- Tracksuits
Hats, if worn, should not be worn back-to-front and must be removed in the clubhouse.
In the Clubhouse
- The above dress code applies within the Clubhouse with the exception that smart denim jeans may be worn
- Golf shoes must be worn on the course, but not in the Clubhouse. There is an area towards the balcony end of the Clubhouse which is used as a spike bar.
- Hats must be removed in the Clubhouse
